Danielle Meenach

Danielle is a true soldier. She not only helps out at our Otis Orchards Silver Café but has a weekly meal delivery route as well. Whenever asked to fill in at Otis Orchards or be a sub for a route, if she is available, Danielle responds with an astounding, "Yes!"

Danielle has lived in Spokane for over 30 years and graduated from WSU and Gonzaga University and loves both teams fiercely. When her tiara and cape are resting, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, baking, sharing her creations and just being the amazing super human that we all get to enjoy. Thank you, Danielle.

Luke Andersen

Luke is a lifelong Newman Lake resident, who accompanied his father delivering meals when he was just a kid. He never forgot those experiences, and two years ago he started driving for Meals on Wheels, first in the city, and now route 23 every Monday.

Luke also works full-time as a UPS driver. He said he likes to stay busy and doesn’t like sitting still for very long. So, when he has vacation time, he subs for MOW if he hasn’t planned to go anywhere!

He has gone beyond what is expected. After squatters left trash on a recently widowed client’s property, he cleaned it up and helped her set up a Go Fund Me page to help with her husband’s funeral expenses.

Luke got a taste for volunteering not only from his father, but also from Boy Scouts where he earned the Eagle Scout designation. He enjoys four-wheeling and being outdoors.

Home Delivery Coolers and Bags

  • Meals cannot be left without a cooler and a frozen ice pack or water bottle inside, regardless of outside temperatures. This is especially important as warm weather approaches.

  • Please notify staff of any clients who consistently leave a cooler for their delivery. In addition to delivering nutritious meals, we are also here to check on their well-being.

  • Please check all bags before departing on your route. Addressing any missing items or issues sooner is more effective than later.

  • Please return your bags to the Office or Kitchen at the end of your Route; we are currently facing a bag shortage. Thank you!
