For the past year and a half, Sandy Gerrells has been a valued part of the Meals on Wheels GSC family. Volunteering every week, she helps deliver not just meals, but moments of connection and kindness to our clients.

Looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community, Sandy found that Meals on Wheels GSC was a perfect fit. When asked about her favorite part of volunteering, the answer was simple and heartfelt: “The clients.”

Outside of her time with Meals on Wheels, Sandy enjoys reading, going for walks, and getting creative with art projects. Now retired, she appreciates having a way to stay active and engaged in the community.

We’re grateful for Sandy’s time, energy, and the warmth she brings to our clients each week!

We Will Be Closed for Juneteenth, Thursday, June 19th & Friday, 4th of July

To ensure our clients are covered during these closures, home delivery drivers will be given extra frozen meals to distribute the week prior. Please keep an eye out for these additional meals and thank you for helping us make sure no one goes hungry! For our servers, there will be no meal service those days. If you usually serve on Thursdays or Fridays, thank you for keeping this in mind. If you’re available to help out on a different day those weeks, let us know - we’d love the help!
