Since joining Meals on Wheels GSC in May, Jeremy has become a valued part of our volunteer team. His journey with Meals on Wheels began when a friend invited him to help deliver meals for another branch’s fundraiser- an experience that deeply resonated with him. The smiles, conversations, and simple act of making a difference left a lasting impression. Inspired further by coworkers who delivered as a team, Jeremy decided to get involved locally, and he’s been grateful for the opportunity ever since.

For Jeremy, the best part of volunteering is the relationships he’s built with clients. “We only see them for a few minutes each week, but those moments really matter,” he says. “Over time, you get to know their stories and personalities, and each connection ends up being its own kind of special.”
Professionally, Jeremy has spent several decades in banking, most recently managing products for local financial institutions. After a recent reorganization, he’s enjoying some time to reflect and explore what comes next. Outside of volunteering, Jeremy and his spouse are active members of a local gym community and love staying on the move: lifting, running, hiking, and even tackling obstacle course races. At home, their two energetic labs, Harvey and Maggie, keep life joyful and full of motion.
Thank you Jeremy for all that you do!

For the past three months, Michael Anderson has been a dedicated part of the Meals on Wheels team, helping serve food and drinks and keeping things tidy at S.V.S.C.
His reason for volunteering is simple and heartfelt- he enjoys helping people and has a love for food, making this the perfect fit.

When asked about his favorite part of volunteering, Michael says he especially enjoys cleaning up tables and making sure the dining area looks great for everyone. Outside of Meals on Wheels, Michael likes to relax by watching movies and has fun exploring new skills in cooking classes. We’re so glad to have him as a part of our volunteer family. Thank you Michael!
